Easton, PA — Easton Area Junior Varsity Rovers's effort to come back from down four runs in the first inning came up just short, as they fell 5-4 to Northampton on Wednesday. Northampton jumped out to a four-run lead in the top of the first inning, but starter Deegan Keller settled in and kept the JV Rovers in the game. The pitcher went seven innings, allowing five runs (four earned) on nine hits, striking out seven and walking three. Next up for Easton Area Junior Varsity Rovers is a game at Acton-Boxboro on Friday.
