South Pasadena, CA — Natalie Kan collected three hits in four at bats, as South Pasadena Varsity Tigers defeated Temple City Varsity Rams 17-8 on Monday. Kan doubled in the third inning, doubled in the sixth inning, and singled in the fifth inning.
South Pasadena Varsity Tigers came back to win despite trailing 5-0 in the second.
Temple City Varsity Rams opened the scoring in the first after an error scored two runs.
Temple City Varsity Rams added to their early lead in the top of the second inning when Taylor Thomas singled, scoring two runs, and Melinda Lansford doubled, scoring one run.
South Pasadena Varsity Tigers flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the third, scoring nine runs on eight hits to take the lead, 11-5. The biggest blow in the inning was a double by Emma Becerra that drove in two.
South Pasadena Varsity Tigers scored six runs on three hits in the bottom of the sixth inning.
