Easton, PA — Easton Area Junior Varsity Rovers couldn't keep up with Liberty JV Hurricanes and fell 19-6 on Tuesday at Charles Richards Field on the campus of Easton Area High School. Liberty JV Hurricanes got on the board in the top of the first inning and never looked back. The Hurricanes scored 8 in the frame. The other big inning for Liberty was the top of the seventh where they extended their lead by plating six more runs. Jackson Gubich pitched three and one-third innings in relief for Easton Area Junior Varsity Rovers. The pitcher gave up two hits and two runs (one earned) while, striking out two and walking two. Albert Nova took the loss for Easton Area Junior Varsity Rovers. The starting pitcher went two-thirds of an inning, surrendering seven runs (six earned) on two hits, striking out none and walking four. Easton Area Junior Varsity Rovers amassed nine hits in the game. Zack Martenis and Andrei Pacheco each collected two hits for Easton Area Junior Varsity Rovers.
