Nampa, ID — Trevan Plew’s Big Day Propels Skyview Varsity Hawks Past Emmett Varsity Huskies By GameChanger Media Trevan Plew drove in four runs on three hits to lead Skyview Varsity Hawks past Emmett Varsity Huskies 14-7 on Saturday. Plew singled in the first inning, scoring two runs, and singled in the sixth inning, scoring two. Emmett Varsity Huskies were the first to get on the board in the first when Ryder Scheibe singled, scoring one run. Skyview Varsity Hawks flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the first, scoring seven runs on five hits to take the lead, 7-1. The biggest blow in the inning was a single by Plew that drove in two. A ground out by Tyler Russell extended the Skyview Varsity Hawks lead to 8-1 in the bottom of the third inning. Skyview Varsity Hawks scored five runs on two hits in the bottom of the sixth inning. Plew singled, scoring two runs, Aaron Vavold drew a walk, scoring one run, and Russell singled, scoring two runs. Elijah Strong earned the win for Skyview Varsity Hawks. The righty gave up six hits and three runs over four innings, striking out three and walking two. Zach Rolland took the loss for Emmett Varsity Huskies. The hurler went two innings, giving up seven runs (four earned) on six hits, striking out three and walking three. Parker Kons, Jacoby Navarro, and Marcus Martinez each appeared in relief for Skyview Varsity Hawks. Skyview Varsity Hawks tallied 11 hits in the game. Plew and Russell each collected three hits for Skyview Varsity Hawks. Ledger Downs collected two hits for Skyview Varsity Hawks in two at bats. Skyview Varsity Hawks had patience at the plate, tallying nine walks for the game. Downs, Nixon Downs, and Henry Downey led the team with two free passes each. Downs and Russell each stole multiple bases for Skyview Varsity Hawks. Skyview Varsity Hawks ran wild on the base paths, collecting six stolen bases for the game. Skyview Varsity Hawks turned one double play in the game. Emmett Varsity Huskies collected 12 hits in the game. Tucker Brown went 1-for-3 at the plate and led the team with two runs batted in.
