Tucson, AZ — **Macee Jackson Shines in the Circle as Salpointe Shuts Out Bulldogs 4-0**
Macee Jackson delivered a masterclass on the mound Saturday, striking out 11 batters and allowing just one hit in a complete-game shutout to lead the Salpointe Catholic Varsity Lady Lancers past the Bulldogs, 4-0.
Jackson was in total control, issuing zero walks over seven dominant innings. Backed by sharp defense, the Lancers played error-free ball and kept the Bulldogs off the scoreboard from start to finish.
Salpointe's offense got going in the second inning when Peyton Green laced a single down the left-field line, followed by a clutch RBI double from Sarah Camp. In the third, Molli Daley added to the momentum with a solo blast to center field, putting the Lancers up 3-0. Camp capped off the scoring with a second RBI hit in a strong performance at the plate.
Camp led the team with two hits and was flawless in the field, recording 11 defensive chances. Green added two stolen bases as the Lancers swiped four bags total.
Despite a solid effort from Marissa Cross-Lizardi—who went six innings and allowed just four runs on eight hits—the Bulldogs couldn’t generate enough offense. Kailyn Zamora recorded their only hit, while Hailey Barco led the defense with seven fielding chances. Like Salpointe, the Bulldogs were clean in the field and turned one double play.
With Jackson dealing and the Lancers firing on all cylinders, it was a complete team win for Salpointe.
