Carnesville, GA — Looking to improve to 3-0 for the first time since the 2020 season, your Franklin County Lions took Jeff Davis field against the Banks County Leopards looking for a victory and a little bit of a statement. The game started off balanced, and fairly even. Both teams were able to move the ball without truly threatening the endzone. This bend, but don't break battle progressed into the 2nd quarter where your lions finally broke the plane to push the margin to 10-0 in favor of the home team. Another score later, and the Lions carried a 17-0 lead into halftime. From the jump of the second half kickoff, the Lions played with a renewed effort and tenacity. 17-0 turned into 24, 31, 38, and finally... 44-0. Behind a balanced rushing attack, and a skull-crushing defensive onslaught, your Lions ran up their score, and refused to let the little leopards do so themselves. When the clock hit 0:00, the Lions were on top, they had seen and conquered, and the Big Cats hadn't merely eaten... they feasted on the team from Homer. Entering into a bye week, FC looks to rest, heal, and work on themselves. Coach Holland and the team invite you to travel with them to West Oak, SC on September, 12, 2025, as they tee it up for another night of war.
