Commerce, GA — Coming off a their first loss of this 2025 season, your Lions arrived at East Jackson Comprehensive High School looking to move back into the win column. From the opening drive, it was evident that the away team was in it to win. Franklin County's opening offensive possession read as follows - Play 1 - a 30 pass right up the seam just beyond the 40 yard line Play 2 - a fullback give that bounces to the sideline for nearly 60 yards and a touchdown While the offensive fireworks slowed down, they never quit coming. What followed that first drive was a balanced and unrelenting attack that netted 34 points against the 5-1 Eagles. On the other side of the ball, the Lions Defense forced 6 three-and-outs, had a key interception, and only gave up a single score. They limited the potentially explosive East Jackson offense to 7 points, and applied pressure to their dangerous quarterback, keeping him rattled. The final scoreboard read 34-7, as the Lions dominated all three phases of the game. Franklin County came, they saw, and they conquered. They did in fact move back into the win column, moving to 6-1 on the season, while simultaneously securing their first region win since 2020. The Lions enter a bye-week, but will return to action at home on Friday, October 17th, against Prince Avenue. Coach Holland and the team invite you to join them as they look to improve to 7-1! Go Lions, and as always, #RestoretheRoar!
