Nampa, ID — Big Seventh Inning Leads Moscow Varsity Bears Past Skyview Varsity Hawks By GameChanger Media Moscow Varsity Bears scored six runs in the seventh inning, which helped them defeat Skyview Varsity Hawks 11-5 on Friday. Skyview Varsity Hawks opened the scoring in the second after Trevan Plew singled, scoring one run. Moscow Varsity Bears flipped the game on its head in the top of the third, scoring five runs on three hits to take the lead, 5-1. The biggest blow in the inning was a home run to right field by Gunnar Holloway that drove in three. Moscow Varsity Bears scored six runs on five hits in the top of the seventh inning. JP Breese drew a walk, scoring one run, Sam Rigney singled, scoring one run, Wyatt Hartig was struck by a pitch, driving in a run, an error scored two runs, and Tyson Izzo singled, scoring one run. Butch Kiblen earned the win for Moscow Varsity Bears. The starter surrendered six hits and three runs over five innings, striking out five and walking four. Joe Bernal took the loss for Skyview Varsity Hawks. The righty went three innings, giving up five runs on four hits, striking out two and walking six.
