Fontana, CA — By GameChanger Media Miller Varsity Rebels took Friday's game in dramatic fashion, with a 7-6 walk-off victory over Cal Lutheran. Miller Varsity Rebels were down 6-5 in the bottom of the seventh inning when David Trujillo singled, scoring two runs. Cal Lutheran got on the board in the top of the first inning after #21 singled down the right field line, Miller Varsity Rebels committed an error, and #11 grounded into a fielder's choice, each scoring one run. Adrian Quintana doubled to right field, which helped Miller Varsity Rebels tie the game at three in the bottom of the second. Cal Lutheran took the lead in the top of the fourth inning after #23 singled to center field, and #21 hit a sacrifice fly, each scoring one run. Ilya Ridge started the game for Miller Varsity Rebels. The hurler surrendered 13 hits and six runs (five earned) over seven innings, striking out eight and walking one. #23 led things off on the mound for Cal Lutheran. The starting pitcher surrendered seven hits and five runs (two earned) over five and two-thirds innings, striking out seven and walking one. Liam Good, Quintana, and Trujillo each collected two hits for Miller Varsity Rebels. Nate Lora, Quintana, Raphael Sotello, and Trujillo each drove in one run for Miller Varsity Rebels. Elian Salas stole two bases. Miller Varsity Rebels ran wild on the base paths, collecting eight stolen bases for the game.
