The Salpointe Catholic Varsity Lady Lancers were firing on all cylinders Thursday night, cruising to an impressive 8-1 win over the Thunderbolts Varsity Softball team.
The scoring kicked off in the bottom of the third when Lilly Mann launched a towering home run to center field, quickly followed by a run scored on a wild pitch to give the Lancers an early 2-0 lead.
The offense stayed hot in the fifth inning. Molli Daley smashed a solo shot to left, Brooke Wild ripped a double to bring in another run, and Camryn “CC” Moraga followed up with a clutch RBI single—stretching the lead to 5-0.
In the sixth, Sarah Camp put an exclamation point on the game with a two-run homer to left field, sealing the deal for the Lady Lancers.
On the mound, Audri Elias picked up the win with a solid outing—tossing 4.2 innings, allowing just two hits and one unearned run while striking out two. Macee Jackson came in for relief and was lights-out, pitching 2.1 hitless innings with five strikeouts and no walks.
Offensively, Moraga led the charge with a perfect 3-for-3 performance at the plate. Wild added two hits, while Camp led the team with two RBIs. The defense also shined, turning a slick double play to stifle any Thunderbolt momentum.
For the Thunderbolts, Riley Johnson and Shaylee Fuell each tallied a hit, with Fuell driving in the team's lone run.
The Lady Lancers showcased their depth, power, and poise in this commanding win, sending a clear message—they’re a force to be reckoned with.
