Clawson, MI — Center Line showed grit and resilience Friday night, storming back from a halftime deficit to defeat Clawson 26-14.
The Panthers trailed 6-7 at the break and fell behind 6-14 late in the third quarter before turning the game around with a dominant finish. Junior running back Masai Ali powered the comeback, carrying the ball 23 times for 226 yards and 2 touchdowns.
On defense, Corday White, senior linebacker, anchored the unit with 12 tackles and 3 sacks, while senior LB/SS Amarion Lyte chipped in 9 tackles.
Under center, junior quarterback Matthew Fizia managed the offense efficiently, completing 4 of 8 passes for 46 yards and 2 touchdown strikes.
With the win, Center Line improves to 2-0 and continues to build momentum heading deeper into the season.
