Centerline, MI — In one of the most thrilling games of the season, the Center Line Panthers overcame an early 14-0 deficit to defeat Lincoln 28-20, reclaiming the historic Brown Jug in the 78th meeting between the two rivals. Junior quarterback Matt Fizia led the charge, completing 6 of 13 passes for 76 yards, two touchdowns, and two interceptions. Despite a tough start, Fizia showed poise in key moments to guide the Panthers’ comeback. Senior Corday White continued his standout season, hauling in a 35-yard touchdown reception and delivering a dominant defensive performance with 11 tackles. Junior running back Masai Ali reached a major milestone, surpassing 1,000 rushing yards on the season. Ali powered the Panthers’ offense with 23 carries for 144 yards and 2 touchdowns, once again proving to be the heart of the Center Line ground game. Junior Darius Wallace contributed all over the field, totaling 103 all-purpose yards and adding 4 tackles on defense. With the victory, Center Line not only captured the Brown Jug but also showcased their resilience and determination — a statement win in one of Michigan’s longest-running high school football rivalries.
