San Bernardino, CA — By GameChanger Media Miller Varsity Rebels fell 8-6 to San Bernardino on Tuesday despite out-hitting them 10 to six. Liam Good, Nate Lora, Adrian Quintana, and Elian Salas each collected two hits for Miller Varsity Rebels. San Bernardino rallied for the victory despite trailing 4-0 in the second. Miller Varsity Rebels got on the board in the top of the second inning after Ilya Ridge grounded out, San Bernardino committed an error, Good singled down the left field line, and Salas singled to center field, each scoring one run. In the bottom of the second inning, San Bernardino went back into the lead after Gabriel Mendivil grounded into a fielder's choice, Chris Rogers singled to center field, Miller Varsity Rebels committed an error, Shawn Bonds walked, and Aiden Zuno grounded into a fielder's choice, each scoring one run. Miller Varsity Rebels captured the lead, 6-5, in the top of the fourth after Good hit a sacrifice fly, and Raphael Sotello singled down the left field line, each scoring one run. San Bernardino jumped into the lead in the bottom of the fourth when Bonds singled, scoring two runs, and Antonio Quintero doubled, scoring one run. Bonds earned the win for San Bernardino. The reliever surrendered six hits and two runs over five and one-third innings, striking out seven and walking two. Good took the loss for Miller Varsity Rebels. The starting pitcher went three and two-thirds innings, surrendering eight runs (four earned) on six hits, striking out three and walking one. Brayden Williamson started the game for San Bernardino. The starting pitcher allowed four hits and four runs (one earned) over one and two-thirds innings, striking out none and walking two. Miller Varsity Rebels amassed 10 hits in the game.
