Ventura, CA — The JV Bulldogs joined together with the Freshmen Bulldogs to take down Fillmore by a score of 34-8. Buena took the opening kickoff and marched down the field, capped off by a TD pass from Kaedyn Martinez to Cameron Carrillo. The defense stood strong on forced a punt, which was blocked by Noah Campanella and recovered by Ricky Rodriguez to set up the offense in great field position. Martinez found Isaiah Perez on a screen pass that he took all the way for the Bulldogs second touchdown. After great a great defensive stop, the Bulldogs faced 4th down near midfield when Martinez found Perez again on a deep ball for a touchdown to make it 21-0. A dominant performance by the OL on the next drive was punctuated by a Noah Campanella rushing touchdown. Fillmore was able to score just before halftime, but the Bulldogs came out strong in the second half, forcing a stop and marching down the field before Martinez found Freshman Gavin Barajas for the final score of the game. The Freshmen Bulldogs took over in the 4th quarter and the defense strode strong. Johnny Gallegos came down with an interception and the defense forced another turnover with a strip and fumble recovery.
