Ventura, CA — The Buena Bulldogs battled the Agoura Chargers Thursday in a closely contested match-up with the Bulldogs prevailing 50-35. After falling behind 14-0, the Bulldog offense picked up the pace and the offensive line began to assert their dominance. Led by Jaycob Finney, Xavier Saenz, Angel Coronado, Mason Mendez, and Jeremy Beck the Bulldogs got on the board with a touchdown run from Cameron Carrillo. Interceptions by Sammy Cesario and Isaiah Perez put the Bulldogs in great position leading to two more touchdown runs by Miguel Bishop giving the Bulldogs a 20-14 lead at halftime. A touchdown pass from Kaedyn Martinez to Isaiah Perez gave the Bulldogs a two score lead that they would not relinquish. Sammy Cesario’s huge game continued with two more interceptions in the second half and a long touchdown run to start the 4th quarter. Great blocking by the offensive line and tight end Nathaniel Chavez led to two more long touchdown runs by Noah Campanella and Cameron Carrillo to put the game away and secured the Buena victory.
