Bees offense stymied as they fall to Schaumburg to end their season

Schaumburg, IL — Both teams were strong on the mound on Monday, but Schaumburg Varsity Saxons was just a little bit stronger at the plate in their 3-0 victory over Zion-Benton Varsity Zee-Bees. AJ Neargarder started the game for Zion-Benton Varsity Zee-Bees and recorded three outs.
Schaumburg got on the board in the bottom of the first inning. Andrew Mitchell pitched five innings in relief for Zion-Benton. The pitcher surrendered three hits and zero runs while, striking out nine and walking none. Neargarder took the loss for the Zee-Bees. The starting pitcher went one inning, surrendering three runs (one earned) on three hits, striking out one and walking two.
Jack Marabella led Zion-Benton Varsity Zee-Bees with one hit in three at bats.
The Zee-Bees want to thank the Class of 2025 for all their efforts the past four years. We look forward to seeing what great things they will accomplish.
