Caledonia Fighting Scots (Freshmen) jumped out to the lead in the top of the first inning after a passed ball scored three runs, and Caleb Sheldon lined out, scoring one run. Gull Lake tied the game in the bottom of the first thanks to a tag up by Nuyen, a double by Buell, and a wild pitch. Caledonia Fighting Scots (Freshmen) took the lead, 6-4, in the top of the second thanks to two errors. Caledonia Fighting Scots (Freshmen) scored five runs on three hits in the top of the third inning. Sheldon grounded out, scoring two runs, Lleyton Finlan drew a walk, scoring one run, Brennan Burns scored after tagging up, and a wild pitch scored one run.
