On the ground, Charlie Christian and Carlton Mousally combined for nearly 50 rushing yards, while Bob Gardner chipped in from the backfield with hard-nosed carries to keep the offense balanced. The Breakers’ defense put together a near-flawless performance, suffocating Northwood’s offense and earning their second shutout of the season. The front seven wreaked havoc, piling up five sacks, 15 quarterback hurries, and seven tackles for loss. Junior linebacker Wyatt Bogdan led the team with nine total tackles and a sack, while Grayson Kazmouz followed with seven tackles, two tackles for loss, and a sack of his own. Gardner was a force in the middle with nine tackles, while Will Kimball, Garrett Byerly, and Liam Nassour each contributed key stops — Nassour also notching a sack and a tackle for loss. Xavier Brooks made plays all over the field, finishing with three tackles, a sack, and consistent pressure on the quarterback. In the secondary, Hooper led with eight total tackles and a pass breakup, while Stringham and Grant Regal locked down the perimeter. Regal came up with a huge interception, returning it 48 yards to swing the momentum back to Laguna. Together, the defense was relentless — forcing turnovers, blanketing receivers, and holding Northwood scoreless from start to finish. Laguna Beach (6–0) will look to keep their perfect record alive next Friday, October 10, when they travel to Fountain Valley for a 7:00 p.m. Foxtrot League matchup.
