Lancers Stay Unstoppable, Blank Desert View 52-0 Behind Collins’ Five-TD Showcase
Salpointe Catholic 52, Desert View 0
Tucson, AZ — Desert View came into Tuesday’s matchup riding high after a gritty win — but Salpointe Catholic quickly brought them back down to earth. The Lancers dominated from start to finish, rolling to a 52-0 shutout that kept their perfect season alive and showcased just how dangerous this offense can be.
Freshman quarterback Isla Collins was once again the star of the show, slicing through the Jaguars’ defense with 267 passing yards and five touchdowns. Collins continues to shine well beyond her years, displaying poise, precision, and a rocket arm that keeps defenses guessing.
Her favorite target, Aliyah Adger, was electric — racking up 74 receiving yards and two touchdowns, making big plays look effortless.
With the win, Salpointe Catholic improves to 5-0, solidifying their spot as one of the top teams in the region. Desert View, meanwhile, falls to 3-3 and will look to bounce back.
Next up, both teams hit the road: Desert View heads to Nogales for a Thursday night clash, while Salpointe Catholic travels to face Buena on Tuesday at 6:00 p.m.
