Allentown, PA — Hudak drove in four runs on three hits to lead Whitehall Varsity Zephyrs past Louis E. Dieruff 15-0 on Wednesday. Hudak hit a home run to center field in the first inning, scoring three runs, and singled in the second inning, scoring one.
Whitehall Varsity Zephyrs got on the board in the top of the first inning after Hudak homered to center field, scoring three runs, Casey grounded out, scoring one run, Muth singled, scoring one run, Morrissey singled, scoring one run, and Schell doubled, scoring one run.
Whitehall Varsity Zephyrs scored six runs on five hits in the top of the second inning. Rosario drew a walk, scoring one run, Dennis induced Morrissey to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored, Peralta drew a walk, scoring one run, Fedorak grounded out, scoring one run, Schell singled, scoring one run, and Hudak singled, scoring one run.
Whitehall Varsity Zephyrs added one run in the third. Rosario singled up the middle, making the score 14-0.
Casey earned the win for Whitehall Varsity Zephyrs. The right-handed pitcher gave up two hits and zero runs over four innings, striking out four and walking none. Dennis took the loss for Louis E. Dieruff. The pitcher went two and one-third innings, giving up 14 runs (11 earned) on 12 hits, striking out one and walking three.
