In a game packed with momentum swings and big-time plays, the Lancers stormed back from a 17-0 hole to edge the Sabercats in a nail-biting 34-31 victory. Leading the charge for Salpointe was wideout RJ Gory, who torched the defense with 164 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Quarterback Matthew Avelar delivered a stellar performance of his own, throwing for 295 yards and four scores. On the defensive side, the Lancers held firm against the pass, holding Saguaro to just a 50% completion rate while completing nearly 65% themselves. The Sabercats didn’t go down quietly.
