Laguna Beach, CA — The LBHS Frosh Soph team took on the San Pedro Pirates in a home game this Thursday afternoon. The Breaker held the Pirates on their first possession, forcing a punt. Later in the first quarter QB Layton Turner ran for a score from 12 yards out. Jax Trotter kicked the PAT to give LBHS a 7-0 lead. The score was tied at half 7-7 Colton Nassour made an outstanding interception at our own 2 yard line, but unfortunately, the next play led to a safety giving San Pedro a 9-7 lead With LBHS trailing 16 to 7, Layton Turner threw a beautiful pass to Hendricks McMann for a TD making the score 16 to 14 LBHS had several more chances to score but came up short, leading to a final score of 23 to 14 for San Pedro Outstanding performances were put in by Brooks Carter who had a number of pass receptions. James Wyman, a converted receiver, did a great job playing center. Rome Siemon filled in very well on the defensive line. Jax Trotter kicked two extra points and took over kickoff duties. The player of the game would be Layton Turner. He ran for a touchdown, passed for another, led the team in rushing and played extremely well on defense.
