Bangor, MI — Vikings Lose Home Opener to Martin The Vikings had our home opener against a tough Martin team and came up short, losing 32-18. The Vikings fought hard and did not let the Martin squad intimidate them, a couple of early turnovers and some troubled snaps kept us on our heels early, but came out strong in the second half and made a game of it. The Vikings were led by Gavin Flagel who rushed for 86 yards and 2 Touchdowns and added another touchdown on a 70 yard kickoff return. Keegan Silva had a good pass reception for 15 yards late in the 4th quarter. Our defense came out strong and had 2 sacks, 1 by Davonte Johnson and 1 by Noah Atkinson. The Vikings return to action next Wednesday at home for Homecoming week against Lawrence at 5:30 PM, come out and support our Vikings.
