West Springfield — On the opening play, Ben Bujnowski intercepted the West Springfield QB and raced to the end zone giving the Mountaineers and early lead. Following Three plays dominated by the WRHS defense and an excellent punt return. Rocco Panechelli raced down the right sideline from Twelve yards out. The Mountaineers were up 14-0. Panechelli put the game out of reach catching a 45 yard touchdown pass from Tyler Beverage. The half ended with Beverage connecting with Jack Geloso for a 25 yard touchdown throw. Vito Colona kicked two extra points and added another score with a two point conversion run. The Mountaineers record is 2-0
