Pine Bush, NY — On Tuesday, October 1st, Pine Bush Varsity Field Hockey hosted Onteora in a hard-fought matchup on their home turf. This team displayed strong defensive play throughout the game, anchored by goalkeeper Sophia Weber, who recorded an impressive 10 saves.
Onteora broke through late in the first quarter, scoring off a defensive corner with less than a minute remaining. Despite the early setback, Pine Bush fought with grit and determination, holding Onteora scoreless for the rest of the contest.
While the 0–1 loss was tough, the team’s defensive resilience stood out and showed their continued progress this season.
Pine Bush now looks ahead to their next home game, where they will celebrate their seniors on Monday, October 6th, at 4:15 p.m. against Coxsackie-Athens.
