2-0 Win at Canyon
The Frosh/Soph boys started their season with a successful outing against Canyon. There were several players who stood out, rather than picking out an individual player of the game I wanted to highlight multiple boys for their efforts. Defensively, both keepers had excellent games coming up with big saves against aggressive attacks inside the penalty area. Overall, everyone on the back line did real well. Jake did a great job of not only stopping Canyon attacks, but also starting several of our countering opportunities by playing the ball forward out of our defensive third. Rory was instrumental for us in the middle, keeping control of the ball and pressing the attack. His efforts earned him the first assist of the season when he played the ball inside to Josiah, who was able to beat the keeper and find the net for our 1st goal. Charles put us on more solid footing when he got the 2nd goal of the game from a great ball played by Zane.
