Stevenson Ranch, CA — The Bulldogs varsity squad opened the match a bit unsettled, conceding two goals in key moments during the first half. After making quick adjustments and recognizing where improvements were needed, the team settled in, stopped the momentum shift, and began generating quality opportunities of their own. In the second half, the Bulldogs came out with intensity challenging every play at full speed, working as a unit, and winning battles across the pitch for a strong 20-minute stretch. Their persistence paid off when they capitalized on a set piece, with Chase Strople finding the back of the net on an assist from Liam McKeown. Defensively, the Bulldogs were anchored by strong efforts from Brady Hertenstein, Eli Tufte, Ethan Roque, Adrian Esquivel, Joseph Del Rio, and Raul Vanover. On the attacking side, credit goes to Tyler Jaitt, Ethan Lopez, Joaquin Guerrero, Nolan Parkin, Dante Zurita, Nathaniel Lozano, and Jake Alamillo for consistently creating pressure and opportunities. Despite the strong second-half surge, the Bulldogs ultimately fell 4–1 to a very talented West Ranch side. Even so, the growth, resilience, and fight shown throughout the match highlight the team’s promising potential. The future looks bright as the Bulldogs continue to strengthen their identity and build team chemistry. Go Bulldogs!
