Boston, MA — Playing at the Walter Brown Arena at Boston University last night, Wachusett impressed once again, dominating Brookline 8-2 to upset the Warriors' Senior Night.

Cody Penniman and Colin Carlson added assists. With just 35 seconds remaining in the period, Matt Brousseau scored on a deflection of an Ethan Bennett shot right off the faceoff to give Wachusett a 2-0 lead at the 1st intermission.
Flaherty scored just 3:52 into the 2nd period after Kevin O'Keefe made a nice play to earn the assist. Caden Lane scored just 20 seconds later sniping a shot in the top left corner. Owen Ambach and Brayden Allaire combined on a nice breakout play to set up the goal, giving Wachusett a 4-0 advantage.
Brookline came to life in the 2nd half of the period scoring on their only 2 shots of the period. The first was a shorthanded breakaway goal and they added another at the 11:23 and 13:47 marks of the period, respectively, closing the gap to 4-2 at the 2nd intermission.
Wachusett took away any momentum Brookline had jumping on them early in the third. Ethan Benned ripped a snap shot in the top of the net just 1:32 into the period. This was a power play goal assisted by Jake Penniman and Colin Carlson.

The second was a pretty passing play with assists going to Travis Laidlaw and Cody Penniman. In his last shift of the night, Flares collected a pass from Matt Brousseau in the neutral zone, split the D and buried his 5th of the day, completing the 8-2 win.
