Williamston, MI — The Holt Junior Rams Dombroski Bronze boys team scored a season 40 points in a 40-4 victory over Williamston today. The Rams got a blazing start with defensive steals by Cameron Powell (6) and a season high rebounding performance by Marquis Davis Jr (12), Holden Wharton (8) Zachary Mead (6) and Jackson Dombroski (5). This was a total team effort win as the Rams collected a season high total of 43 rebounds. The Rams got scoring season highs from Makhi Love (4), and Nasir Lane (4) and Jackson Dombroski (4) as well as getting scoring contributions from Jackson James (4), Kash James (6), Marquise Davis Jr (4), Zachary Mead (10) and Ryan Brooks (2).
Highlights from today’s game include:
1. Having a better understanding on switching screens.
2. Actually running the “67” play to score.
3. Season high rebounding contributions from every player for a season high rebounding performance.
4. Each player got experience at a new position which will lead to having a better understanding of every spot on the floor.
5. Learned that respecting the game starts with respecting your opponents and teammates.
The Rams will enjoy a break in celebration of Martin Lutheran King Jr Day (no practice Monday) and will return for practice on Wednesday at normal practice time. A special 1 hour practice time has also been added on Saturday, January 24 from 1-2 pm at the Barn. Be on the look out for more information in the calendar.
