Lansing, MI — The HJR Dombroski Bronze team (4-1) lost a heart breaker today against a tough Lansing Christian (5-2) team, 24-20. The Rams fought back from a disappointing first quarter and turned up the heat defensively to claw their way back to take the lead at halftime. The back and forth match up continued through the 3rd quarter where both teams had good offensive production with strong defensive effort. In the end, the Pilgrims offensive productivity was too much and handed the Rams their first loss of the season.
The Rams were led in points by Zachary Mead (6PTS), Ryan Brooks & Marquis Davis Jr (4PTS). The Rams got solid defensive and rebounding contributions from Nasir Lane, Makhi Love, Holden Wharton & Jaxson James, while adding 2 points each from Jackson Dombroski, Cameron Powell & Kash James.
The Rams will have a chance bounce back tomorrow, as they take on St. John’s at HOME on Sunday, February 1 at 12:45 pm.
