Woodbridge, NJ — \The Sayreville Bombers continued their strong early-season play with an impressive 81–51 win over Woodbridge, controlling the game from the opening tip and never looking back. Sayreville jumped out early, winning the first quarter 22–14 behind high energy on both ends of the floor. The Bombers tightened the defense even further in the second quarter, holding Woodbridge to just 10 points while pouring in 20 of their own to take a commanding 42–24 lead into halftime. Woodbridge showed some resilience coming out of the break, but Sayreville answered every run. The Bombers edged the third quarter 19–16 and followed it up with a strong fourth quarter, outscoring Woodbridge 20–18 to close out the convincing victory. Leading the way for Sayreville was Chidi Chukwurah, who delivered a dominant performance with 33 points and 8 rebounds. Ziyan Jones added 11 points and 4 rebounds, while Sam Jones chipped in 10 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 assists. Tyler Yan also reached double figures with 10 points. JC Lewis orchestrated the offense with 7 points and 6 assists, and Andrew Provenza provided a physical presence inside with 6 points and 8 rebounds. The Bombers also recognized standout efforts with their team awards.
