Vacaville, CA — The Vanden Vikings Boys Volleyball team delivered a strong all-around performance, fueled by balanced contributions and aggressive play at the net and service line. The Vikings defeated the Falcons 3-0.
Senior libero Vincent Mercado had an outstanding match, doing it all for the Vikings with 4 aces, 4 kills, and 7 digs. His energy and versatility helped set the tone on both defense and in transition. Junior outside hitter Miles Barceros led the offense with an efficient performance, hammering down 8 kills with just one error, showcasing precision and consistency throughout the match. On the right side, junior opposite Ian Dodd added 5 kills, providing another reliable scoring option.
Running the offense smoothly was junior setter Niles Munstermann, who tallied 12 assists while also making his presence felt from the service line with 3 aces. His leadership helped keep the Vikings in rhythm and on the attack.
With momentum on their side, the Vikings now turn their attention to their next matchup against Westlake Charter (23-3) on April 1st, where they’ll look to carry this strong performance forward.
