Vacaville, CA — The Vanden High School boys volleyball team earned a hard-fought victory over the Vacaville Bulldogs, avenging an earlier season loss in dramatic fashion with a reverse sweep, 3-2. After dropping the first two sets, Vanden showed resilience and composure, rallying to win three straight and secure the match. The comeback was fueled by strong defensive play and balanced offensive production across the lineup. Libero Vincent Mercado anchored the defense with a team-high 18 digs, while also contributing 6 assists and delivering a flawless performance from the service line, going 12-for-12. Setter/opposite Niles Munstermann played a pivotal role all around, recording 13 kills with just 3 errors, along with 20 assists and 9 digs. On the outside, Rigden Lama led the attack with 15 kills, providing key points during the comeback push.
