Rochester Hills, MI — The boys got the opportunity to play on a college floor at Rochester Christian University against a disciplined, well coached Grosse Point South team. A close back and forth game that saw the boys battle against a much bigger team. Despite being undersized, pressure defense and forcing turnovers kept the boys in the game. Facing adversity for the first time all season; foul trouble, missed free throws, shots not falling, uncharacteristic turnovers and getting beat badly on the glass, the boys continuously made huge plays and found ways to stay in it. Clutch play after clutch play despite the game not going their way. Drew Geottes knocked down a mid range jumper to tie the game with just over 1 second left to send the game to overtime in the most exciting moment of the season so far. Another strong all around game for him, finishing with 7 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists. In a game where the team struggled to make shots, Game MVP Max Durda provided a spark, in another stat sheet filling performance. He finished with 9 points, 6 rebounds, 5 steals, 4 assists and a clutch And 1 to tie the game in overtime. Blake Wozniak led the team in scoring with 12 points, including two big three pointers. Mason Eleczko knocked down two from 3 as well. Nik Nahhal scored 7 points and had 3 steals in a relentless effort defensively that led to him fouling out. The boys move to 3-1 after a thrilling overtime loss.
