Recap
Redwood City, CA — The Ravens put on a defensive clinic, holding Jefferson to single digits in every quarter and securing a dominant 38-17 win.
The game didn't start pretty offensively. Despite forcing 15 defensive stops in the opening quarter, the Ravens shot just 1-12 on field goals and trailed 5-4 after Q1. But our discipline never wavered. Once Sequoia found its flow, the Ravens took control by closing the night on a 34-12 run.
Defense set the tone all night, as the Ravens executed the game plan with purpose, protected the gaps, and stay connected on every possession. The result: 16 deflections and 15 steals as a team, constant pressure, and very few clean looks for the Grizzlies.
Guard Olivia Macuga (SO) finished with 17 points, 4 assists, 9 deflections, and 6 steals. Forward Kaitlyn Schernig (JR) provided steady leadership and toughness on both ends, and pulled down 10 rebounds. Forward Presley Ackerhalt (SO) helped off the bench in 10 minutes of play, recording 5 rebounds, 2 steals, and her 1st three pointer of the season.
A gritty, connected 38-17 win fueled by defensive discipline and togetherness.
