Washingtonville, NY — Pine Bush Varsity Boys Basketball dropped a 63–52 road decision to Washingtonville on Thursday night. The Bushmen stayed within striking distance early, trailing 24–24 at halftime, but a strong third quarter by the home team created separation. Washingtonville outscored Pine Bush 21–8 in the third, building momentum that carried into the final frame despite Pine Bush’s late push. Robert Lawrence led Pine Bush with 13 points, while Brayden Traver added 12 and Kaine Riddick chipped in 11 in a balanced scoring effort. Pine Bush showed grit on the glass, pulling down 26 rebounds and forcing 17 turnovers, but struggled to find consistency from the field in the middle quarters. Pine Bush will look to build off the defensive effort and rebounding as they continue league play.
