San Clemente, CA — The @jserra.beachvolleyball team overcame the elements and San Juan Hills on Thursday, as the Lions claimed their fourth straight shutout win to open the season with a 5-0 nonleague triumph over the Stallions at Lost Winds Volleyball Courts in San Clemente. Juniors Kaitlyn Dostert and Lyla Gerstenberger produced the signature triumph of the match, as the duo dropped their opening set 18-21, but rallied to win the second set 21-11, before completing the comeback with a 15-13 triumph in the third and deciding set. Seniors Sara Moynihan and Presley Johnson churned out wins of 21-3 and 21-9, seniors Emma Champagne and Skylar Noble were victorious by scores of 21-11 and 21-3, junior Berit Brinkema and senior Catherine Beadles claimed wins of 21-6 and 21-13, and junior Sarah Thorpe and senior Greta Beyer completed the sweep with triumphs of 21-18 and 21-14. #lionnation #jserragirlsbeachvolleyball #jserraathletics
