Collinsville, IL — Collinsville Varsity Kahoks couldn't keep up with Mater Dei and fell 11-2 on Tuesday. Mater Dei opened the scoring in the top of the second thanks to two singles. Mater Dei first got on the board when Rich singled, scoring one run. Mater Dei added to their early lead in the top of the third inning when an error scored one run, Engelman grounded out, scoring one run, and Wesselman singled, scoring two runs. Dekemper earned the win for Mater Dei. The starting pitcher gave up two hits and one run (zero earned) over five innings, striking out five and walking one. Bordoni pitched four innings in relief for Collinsville Varsity Kahoks. The right-handed pitcher gave up two hits and five runs (two earned) while, striking out five and walking five. Smith took the loss for Collinsville Varsity Kahoks. The hurler went three innings, surrendering six runs (two earned) on five hits, striking out three and walking two. Smith led Collinsville Varsity Kahoks with one run batted in. Thomas, Muniz, Lauenstein, and Bordoni each collected one hit for Collinsville Varsity Kahoks.
