Searcy, AR — Shannon Moore and senior Kevin Langinlur combined for a no-hitter with 16 strikeouts to lead Riverview to an 8-0 victory over Clarendon Tuesday afternoon.
The Raiders jumped out to a 4-0 lead after the first inning on five hits. Layton Miller had the big hit in the inning with a double that scored courtesy runner Johnny Wilson.
Riverview would add two more in the second on a Braxton Hobbs double and when Austin Hill reached on a Clarendon error.
The Raiders rounded out the scoring with single runs in the fourth and sixth innings.
Hobbs led Riverview at the plate with two hits, while Moore, Hill, Miller, Micah Stinson, and Zaibrien Williams each finished with one hit.
Moore picked up the win on the mound, throwing 6 and two-thirds innings with 15 strikeouts. Langinlur finished the game with a strikeout.
The Raiders will be back in action Wednesday afternoon in the District Tournament with a 4:00 game against Bald Knob. The game will be held at Junior Deputy Park in Little Rock.
