Parlin, NJ — Sayreville took on Thomas Jefferson Middle School on Friday 1/23/26 at home. Thomas Jefferson has been the Bombers toughest opponent this season and Friday's game was no different. Jefferson's zone defense had the Bombers turning the ball over and forcing shots. With the score 23-20 Coach Donegan called a timeout and challenged his team to move the ball and look to be aggressive getting the ball inside. Guards DJ Thomas, Jayvian Cespedes and forward Landon Gregory stepped it up on the defensive end. The Bombers were led by the towering duo of Naeto Attah and Ryan Ruiter who dominated inside. Both contributed with double-doubles for the game and top ART scores. 7th grader Tyler McQuiller brought an offensive spark and continues to improve defensively. He has an exciting future with the Bombers. Sayreville was able to pull away in the 4th to win the game 56-38. The Bombers season continues on Tuesday against Salk Middle School on the road.
