San Juan Capistrano, CA — The @jserra.boys_tennis team improved to 3-0 on the season, as the Lions sailed past the Dana Hills Dolphins 16-2 in nonleague action on Thursday at JSerra Catholic High School. The Lions claimed all nine sets of doubles action to help navigate the path to victory. Senior Cade Faul and junior Enzo Biundo claimed wins of 6-4 and 6-0, while Faul also teamed with sophomore Leo Salgado for a 7-5 victory. Junior Kayden Kral and senior Emilio Salgado produced triumphs of 6-2 and 6-0, while Kral and freshman Aidan Andren teamed together for a 6-1 win. Senior HB Warner and senior Jacob Lebrun posted dual wins of 6-1 and 6-1, with Warner and senior Tom Gormley winning their tandem battle by a score of 6-1. Sophomore Rafael Shaikh spearheaded the Lions’ singles effort, as posted wins in all three sets (including a victory over the Dolphins’ top singles player) 6-4, 6-0, and 6-0. Senior Connor Faul posted triumphs of 6-0 and 6-0. Junior Michael Geffre added a 6-3 win, while fellow junior Omar Ali earned a 6-0 victory.
