Nevarez hit a home run to center field in the second inning, singled in the first inning, and singled in the third inning. Carlsbad Varsity Lancers scored seven runs in the third inning on the way to victory. Kelli Stevens singled, scoring one run, Allison Lasher singled, scoring one run, Emery Cramond singled, scoring one run, Rypken Jarrard singled, scoring one run, Chloe Hernandez singled, scoring two runs, and Ingrid Black grounded out, scoring one run.
