Milltown, NJ — The Sayreville Boys Blue Bombers defeated Milltown 53-31. The Bombers were inconsistent in the first half but brought their trademark lockdown defense in the 2nd half. All 13 players contributed to today's win. Captains DJ Thomas and Colin Maher pressured their ball for 4 quarters and provided leadership on the court. Guards Julian Simpkins, Tyler McQuiller and forward Landon Gregory provided an offensive spark. Pat Walsh had some much needed rebounds and putbacks in the 2nd quarter. Ryan Acevedo and Myles Mitchell brought great energy on both ends of the floor. The Bombers were led defensive by the 5 man lineup of Dalton Cannan, Jayvian Cespedes, Gio Iwashqwa, Ryan Ruiter, and Naeto Attah that held Milltown scoreless for over 3 minutes in the 3rd quarter as the Bombers pulled away. The Bombers season continues on Friday with a home game vs. East Brunswick.
