Naperville, IL — The WV Girls' Golf team opened up DuPage Valley Conference play with a 171-174 victory over rival Neuqua Valley. Mina Shyam earned medalist honors as the low score of the match with an outstanding 1-over-par 37. Also making big contributions to the winning score for the Warriors were seniors Siya Sohal (44) and Riya Gupta (45), and sophomore Nitya Thapar (45). The Warriors move to 1-0 in conference play and are back in action today at Springbrook against Naperville North. First tee time is 3:30 p.m.
