South Plainfield Tigers vs. Sayreville Bombers
The eleven seeded Tigers matched up against the six seeded Bombers at the Bomb Shelter Tuesday. As division opponents these two teams split the season series 1-1. With the season on the line, in the First Round of the JV GMC Tournament the Bombers prevailed in a big way. The Bombers with a 1 point halftime lead, dominated the 2nd half. Propelled by Trevor Yan's 10-point 3rd quarter, Noah Trindade's 13-point 2nd half, and Evan Fowler-Hauser's 6-point 4th quarter, The Bomber's secured their 11th win of the season and a birth to the Quarterfinals. Trevor Yan led all scorers with 30 points, and he and the Bombers look to carry this momentum Friday as they travel to South Brunswick to face the 3-seeded Vikings.
