Pine Plains, NY — Pine Plains, NY — April 23, 2026 — In a historic night at Stissing Mountain High School, the Red Hook Raiders boys varsity lacrosse team defeated division rival New Paltz 13–8 in a key Section 9 matchup with playoff implications.
The game marked the first-ever lacrosse contest played at Stissing Mountain High School, adding significance to an already important division showdown. Red Hook used a strong first half, including a 4-goal second quarter, to build momentum and maintain control throughout the game.
Red Hook was led offensively by Lucas Flores, who delivered a dominant performance with 7 goals and 1 assist. John Macri and Everett Giorgio each added 3 goals, while Danny Cashen contributed 3 assists to pace the Raiders’ attack.
In goal, Jack Melious recorded 9 saves to anchor the defense.
With the win, Red Hook improves to 4–5 overall (1–2 division), while New Paltz falls to 2–3 overall (1–2 division).
Red Hook will look to build on the victory as the head out on the road again this Saturday, taking on Section 2s South Glens Falls at 12:00 pm.
