Goshen, NY — Goshen, NY (April 27, 2026) — The Red Hook Raiders varsity boys lacrosse team traveled to Goshen High School on Monday afternoon, putting together a gritty effort in a competitive matchup, but falling to the host 7-4.
Red Hook saw offensive contributions from several players, including Mike DeLango, Chris Macri, John Carlo Macri, and Danny Cashen, who each found the back of the net. The Raiders generated consistent pressure, with multiple players recording shots on goal throughout the contest.
At the faceoff X, Calvin Steele led the way with a strong performance, going 7-for-14 (50%), helping Red Hook maintain key possessions.
Defensively, the Raiders were active on the ground, with Chris Macri (7 ground balls), Koster O’Connor (6), and Calvin Steele (5) leading the effort. The unit also forced turnovers and showed resilience against Goshen’s attack.
In goal, Jack Melious turned in a standout performance, recording 16 saves while facing heavy pressure, keeping Red Hook within striking distance throughout the game.
Despite the result, the Raiders demonstrated toughness and balanced contributions across the field as they continue to build momentum heading deeper into the season.
Sitting at a record of 4-7, the Raiders are back in action on Thursday, April 30 as they travel to Our Lady of Lourdes HS in Poughkeepsie for an important divisional match-up against the Warriors
