Raiders Use Fast Start and Stingy Defense to Down Rondout Valley

Annandale-on-Hudson, NY — The Red Hook Raiders celebrated Senior Night in style on Thursday, May 14, 2026, defeating the Rondout Valley Ganders 10–4 at the Ferrari Soccer & Lacrosse Complex on the campus of Bard College in a Section 9 boys varsity lacrosse matchup.
Before the opening faceoff, Red Hook honored seniors Harrison Brown, Quinn Boyd, Chris Macri, Chase Wilbur, John Macri, Danny Cashen, and Jack Melious, along with team statisticians Eva Suave and Adrianna Pinckney, for their dedication and contributions to the program.
The Raiders carried the energy from the pregame ceremony onto the field, jumping out to a 2–0 first-quarter lead and extending the advantage to 5–1 at halftime. Red Hook continued to control the pace throughout the second half with balanced scoring, aggressive defense, and strong play in goal.
Senior John Macri led the Raiders offensively with 3 goals and 2 assists, while junior Lucas Flores added 3 goals and 1 assist. Junior Everett Giorgio contributed 2 goals and 1 assist, and senior captain Danny Cashen finished with 1 goal and 1 assist. Chase Kabat also scored for Red Hook, while Chris Macri added an assist.
The Raiders were active defensively all night, collecting 30 ground balls as a team. Flores led the effort with 5 ground balls, while Everett Giorgio and Harrison Brown each added 4. Junior Calvin Steele went 7-for-17 at the faceoff X.
Senior goalie Jack Melious delivered another standout performance in net, recording 18 saves to help secure the victory.
With the win, Red Hook continued to build momentum heading toward the postseason while giving its seniors a memorable final regular season home appearance.
The Raiders wrap up the regular season on Wednesday, May 20, as they hit the road once again, traveling to Warwick Valley to take on the Wildcats in a non-division matchup.
