Redding, CA — Sac High jumped out to a 28-2 1st quarter lead and never looked back, winning 56-10 in the opener of the Harlan Carter Invitational in Redding, CA. Sac High, in what is quickly becoming their trademark and identity for the 2018-19 campaign, stifled Chico with full court pressure defense. Chico was never able to settle into any type of offense as they committed over 30 turnovers, as the Dragons took a 40-2 lead into the half. Sac High was paced by Walters’ 13 points, followed by 12 apiece from Andriana Avent and Heaven Samayoa-Mathis. The Dragons will face off with Placer High Hillgals Friday at 8:30p.m in a semifinal rematch of a year ago in this same Harlan Carter Invitational.
