Azusa, CA — Azusa owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Saturday. They blew past the Webb Gauls 9-0. That's more bragging rights for the Aztecs, who also won the pair's last head-to-head. Webb's batters probably weren't too happy with Aidan Sanchez, who pitched a no hitter (he gave up two walks). At the plate, Jeran Ofalla was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Matt Huizar, who went 1-for-4 with four stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Azusa always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .545. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Webb only posted an OBP of .167. The win got Azusa back to even at 1-1. Looking ahead, Azusa will square off against Edgewood at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
